uAvionix has announced that it has selected a location for its new Northern Virginia headquarters (HQ2) at the 880 Harrison office and coworking community, also known as the Blockchain Building, in Loudoun County. Currently based in Bigfork, Montana, uAvionix is the developer of the Ping network system, which combines hardware, software, and real-time airspace mapping to enable companies to safely and reliably operate unmanned aerial systems (UAS) in the national airspace.
Experiencing strong growth in the manned and unmanned aviation market, uAvionix sought to expand to Loudoun County to benefit from the area’s technology talent pool and access to regulatory and industry advocacy groups. Christian Ramsey, President and local lead for uAvionix’s HQ2, needed office space that would appeal to a high-tech workforce and be centrally located to support aviation and international business needs. Ramsey chose 880 Harrison because of its industry-leading amenities, such as redundant high-speed Internet access, and convenience to both Leesburg and Dulles International Airports.
“We looked at many office spaces, and 880 Harrison was the perfect choice for us,” said Ramsey, “The Blockchain Building offered more than just office space- it gives us the environment, amenities and location to grow our business and culture locally.”
880 Harrison offers both private and shared office space in the heart of Loudoun County and the Leesburg HUBZone. Redundant hard-wired and wireless Internet, conference facilities with state-of-the-art audio/visual capabilities, and private phone rooms insure maximum productivity for members. With an equal focus on personal well-being, 880 Harrison features a workout room, a stretch lab, stocked coffee and snack bar and bikes to access downtown Leesburg’s shops and restaurants.
“Loudoun County is a hub for growth and expansion of the technology industry,” said Torge Dennen, partner at 880 Harrison. “880 Harrison is meeting the needs of these companies and employees by offering a state-of-the-art facility with unparalleled amenities and location to maximize productivity and worker satisfaction.”
