UAVOS have completed the upgrade of the UVH EL, an electric unmanned helicopter now featuring an advanced airframe. With increased carrying capacity, flying range and an extended temperature range, the UVH EL comes equipped with multi-sensor camera with day-or-night surveillance capability and is powered by an UAVOS autopilot.
On display at DSEI 2019, this industrial grade, electric motor helicopter has been designed for both commercial and security applications and is ridged, low weight and easily transportable.
Surveyor-H VTOL Unmanned System:
- Flight time 1.4 hours
- 67m range
- Estimated operating payload 5 kg
The upgraded airframe features an open fuselage structure, enabling convenient access to the primary mechanical components, easy adjustment of the center of mass and incorporates a Li-Ion rechargeable battery module, protected from damage by the bearing frame.
The chassis has been designed to accommodate LiDAR installation and easy payload placement and the UVH EL comes equipped with a radio altimeter and an enhanced emergency rescue system (parachute).
Constructed from 30mm carbon piping the compact and lightweight mainframe has reduced productions costs by 20%.
“The common challenge we see in the market is the need for an easy-to-use, cost-effective solution that produces actionable insights. Our latest model drone platform has been developed to address those requirements and break new ground in terms of what can be done with a drone, as well as who can operate it,” – Aliaksei Stratsilatau, UAVOS CEO and Lead Developer.
UAVOS is displaying the UVH EL with advanced airframe at DSEI in London this September 10-13th 2019.
