Silvus Technologies StreamCaster 4200 MIMO Radio

Silvus Technologies StreamCaster Tactical MIMO network was used to stream Hoverfly’s LiveSky video last week at DESI, as part of Drumgrange Ltd’s Integrated Shared Situational Awareness Solution.

The live demonstrations which took place on the Dramgrange stand at DSEI saw Hoverfly’s tether-powered UAS, equipped with EO/IR sensor, LiveSky installed on a Polaris DAGOR A1 ultra-light tactical vehicle in order to demonstrate the unique mobile ISR and communication capabilities.

The LiveSky 360-degree video streams were displayed on a MilDef DS rugged tablet using Silvus Technologies StreamCaster Tactical MIMO network live at the DSEI event.

The LiveSky T-UAS works on-the-move from the DAGOR, delivering long-range, secure HD video and thermal video streams over the Silvus MIMO network. Applications include force protection, intelligence, surveillance and recognisance.

Speaking of LiveSky’s defense advantages, Hoverfly CEO Rob Topping said; “The amount of international interest in LiveSky is not surprising, as defense and border forces look for alternatives to fixed towers and logistically impaired aerostats. We hosted numerous MOD and other delegations at the Drumgrange DSEI stand,”
