UAVOS has unveiled its new UVH-25EL helicopter UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle), equipped with a LiDAR payload and designed for commercial and industrial data capture and mapping applications. The compact, lightweight fully autonomous unmanned helicopter is powered by an electric propulsion system and is capable of a flight endurance of up to 1.5 hours when equipped with a 5kg payload.
The UVH-25E is ideal for high-accuracy mapping and surveying applications that integrate LiDAR sensing with high-resolution cameras for increased precision and efficiency.
Features of the UVH-25EL unmanned LiDAR platform include:
- MTOW of 25kg
- Helicopter frame designed for convenient positioning of payload and easy adjusting of aircraft center of mass
- Rechargeable battery module located inside the helicopter’s bearing frame for maximum protection
- Open fuselage structure for convenient control of the main mechanical elements, and access to electrical wiring and other main components
- Radio altimeter
Aliaksei Stratsilatau, UAVOS CEO, commented: “We have been putting a lot of effort, time and resources to meet the expectations of the broader geospatial industry. The UVH-25EL is truly an advanced UAV for serious geomatics professionals in the construction, land development, engineering and geomatics trades. We’re going to make partnerships with leading LiDAR manufacturers to provide the clients with an all-in-one 3D mapping solution. The partnerships with developers of LiDAR systems will allow us to complement our UVH-25EL unmanned helicopter offer with a coverage of aerial photography and 3D elevation data, as well as more specialist capture including thermal surveys.”
