Auterion has upgraded its Enterprise PX4 and Mission Control open software for drones. Version 2.3 of Enterprise PX4 and version 1.12 of Mission Control provide enhanced simplicity and efficiency for the software ecosystem.
Auterion Enterprise PX4 is a complete onboard software platform for advanced drone operations, consisting of a flight controller based on PX4 and an operating system running on the mission computer for advanced on-board functionality and data processing capabilities. Improvements in v2.3 include:
Simplified in-field calibration: Moving a drone to a different location or even just mounting a different payload can modify the magnetic field and require a new calibration of the drone. With the new release, re-calibration is now as easy as lifting up and slightly moving the vehicle in different directions. Click here to watch a video showing the process.
VTOL autotuning: Tuning airframes was previously a complex task requiring one or even multiple flight control engineers and a lot of experience and manual work. Now, automatic rate and attitude tuning for VTOL drones is possible in less than 60 seconds. Watch how autotuning of a VTOL drone works in this video.
Integration of NextVision NightHawk2 and Colibri2: The NightHawk2 and Colibri2 dual EO/IR cameras from NextVision have been added to the Auterion integrated camera line-up. Skynode users can use these, along with the other pre-integrated cameras, out of the box for their drone solutions powered by Auterion Skynode. Find out more about the integration of the NightHawk2 camera in this demo video.
Auterion Mission Control is the ground control software used to plan, execute and analyze operations of drones powered by Auterion. In v1.12, operators get additional status information in the fly view, such as the drone’s cellular status or the battery status for systems with more than two batteries. Multiple workflows have also been simplified to reduce the numbers of clicks required to perform specific actions.
