Robotican has confirmed that it has successfully delivered a Gallo unmanned reconnaissance system to USSOCOM for operational evaluation. Gallo is a hybrid platform that can fly like a UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle) and roll on the ground like a UGV (unmanned ground vehicle), and is designed to deliver real-time situational awareness and forward observation in confined spaces such as subterranean environments or inside buildings.
Gallo’s MESH networking enables the simultaneous operation of three vehicles from the same control unit, relaying communication in indoor, communication-denied environments. The Gallo is suitable for military missions, as well as for search and rescue missions in hazardous locations.
Robotican also delivered a training course that included system operation and mission execution in many operational scenarios, such as urban and rural warfare, tunnels, and indoor missions.
Hagai Balshai, CEO of Robotican, commented: “We are very thrilled to have concluded our first Gallo delivery and training course with the USSOCOM. It is very exciting to see the fruits of our hard work integrated into an operational unit such as the Special Forces. We are looking forward to more Gallo system courses and to our continued collaboration with the US Armed Forces.”
