Aerial autonomous robotics manufacturer Vantage Robotics, Inc., has been selected by the United States Army for the Vesper Small Unmanned Aerial System (sUAS) inclusion in the Common Hardware Systems-6 (CHS) contract.

CHS, a 10-year Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract, provides Army and Joint organizations, operational units, and other government agencies with rapid procurement of standard and emerging Commercial off-the-Shelf (COTS) hardware and services.

Tobin Fisher, Vantage’s Chief Executive Officer commented “We are proud to support the U.S. Army, our military and a growing number of law enforcement and public safety agencies. We are extremely excited that the Common Hardware System-6 contract provides a rapid-procurement avenue to federal users.”

The Vantage Vesper sUAS provides field operators with extended flight time, low light performance, minimum counter detection, and environmental impacts in a rugged, lightweight build.

The backpack portable Vesper system was designed with a modular, open system approach and uniquely provides magnet-attached swappable propellers, motor and rotor assemblies, and batteries for different mission sets.

The Vesper sUAS can be flown with a number of different user interface software apps, including the ATAK UAS Tool. Vantage remains a hardware-focused company without recurring software fees.
