The Block 3 Dronebuster Counter UAV System

Radio Hill Technologies (RHT), based in Portland, Oregon, has confirmed that the US Air Force has selected the Block 3 Dronebuster hand-held counter-drone detection and jamming system for security force personnel.

Following extensive testing by the US Air Force, Radio Hill has recently completed a contract for sale of a large number of Block 3 Dronebuster systems, worth in excess of $2.5 million dollars, with deliveries starting immediately. Contracting was undertaken via the Air Force’s Installation Contracting Agency at Barksdale, LA.

Released on 1 November last year, the Block 3 is the third generation of the Dronebuster line of hand-held drone detection and jamming systems, and boasts improved range and reliability over previous models. The system has the ability to detect incoming RF signals to aid in aiming the device in low visibility and display that signal strength via LED lights on the control panel. It jams consumer and modified drone radios in the ISM, UHF HAM and GPS bands. The redesigned antenna cluster and amplification network provide directional jamming over longer ranges than any other man-portable system. Weighing just 5 lbs., the Dronebuster has a rechargeable Li-ion battery.

Radio Hill’s CEO Jake Sullivan commented “We are excited to partner with the Air Force to get this easy-to-use capability in the hands of our Air Force Security Forces personnel.”
