UMS SKELDAR, a developer of rotary Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) solutions, has announced that it has achieved the international accreditation AS/EN 9100 Quality Management System, and is believed to be one of the first ever RPAS (Remotely Piloted Aircraft System) OEMs to have been certified to this standard. The new status recognises UMS for its dedication to customer requirements, continual desire to ensure customer satisfaction and achievement of the highest quality at all times.

The AS/EN 9100 is an internationally recognised quality management standard for the aerospace industry. Achievement of the certification provides customers and suppliers with the knowledge that there is traceability throughout the supply chain, that UMS is 100% compliant with all regulatory requirements and that it upholds continuous improvement in everything it does.
UMS’ flagship SKELDAR V-200 unmanned aircraft is a VTOL platform with heavy fuel capabilities, meaning it is ideal for maritime scenarios. 4586 STANAG compliant, the V-200 can carry multiple payloads including EO/IR gimbals coupled with Sentient Vision Systems’ ViDAR and AIS transponder, all adding to its effectiveness for maritime, port security and naval operations.
